Our school was created in 2014 and we teach students from the ages of 12 to 16. 
Institut Ermessenda de Girona is named after a countess who lived from 977 to 1058 and ruled Girona and other towns in the north of Catalonia and the south of France. She is buried in the Cathedral of Girona. 
Our city has a stunning medieval section, which was used in season 5 of Game of Thrones, and it attracts thousands of visitors each year. 
Girona boasts a large number of world-acclaimed restaurants, gorgeous hotels and a vibrant cultural scene, coupled with a growing industry catering to bicycle lovers. 
The current population is slightly over 100,000 people. Its size allows pedestrians to move around easily and there is also a public transport network (bus) and several Girocleta spots (bike rent spots all through the city to grab and drop bikes).
